Inferno

SRISA, Florence, Italy

2025, Graphic Design Studio

While studying abroad in Florence, Italy we were tasked with designing a book jacket for a chapter of Dante’s iconic Divinia Commedia. I was assigned the Inferno chapter and was inspired by the imagery of the Nine Circles of Hell, along with the constant allusions to Florence. The primary element of my cover is a physical collage I made using vintage postcards of Florence to depict the Nine Circles of Hell on the front, bleeding into Dante’s side profile on the back.
