Florence Stamps

SRISA, Florence, Italy

2025, Branding Design

This project prompted us to redesign the Florence postage stamp, using a cohesive design element inspired by the city. The dog culture of Italy and in Florence specifically really interested me because I noticed the Florentines typically had smaller dogs that were almost always very well behaved and docile, and you could see lots of dogs being walked at all times of the day. I focused this project on some of the three most common breeds I spotted: the Dachshund, Italian Greyhound, and Volpino. My attention was also draw to the beautiful cathedrals in Italy and decided to feature the rosone (rose windows) of the , Basilica di Santa Maria Novella, Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, and Basilica di Santa Croce. I created the illustrations used in the stamps using Procreate.
